The Music Collection is a free program that allows you to archive your music collection. Using it you can enter in a collection any kind of music media that you own or you intend to. You can add or edit any kind of information concerning the albums in the collection, no matter if it's composed of CDs, LPs, tapes or audio files.
The album info can be manually entered or automatically via the Internet. Many different ways are offered for collecting the album related information without any typing.
The search can be done by just giving the album artist and title, or the barcode number, or the catalog number, or by inserting in the disc drive the album CD. The user can also scan any PC folder for audio files and add the album information by the file tags.
After saving the albums, you can browse them, sort them by any field or combination of fields and filter albums by all possible criteria.
Music Collection comprises all the tools needed by the user for managing in the most effective way your music albums. It can display and print all the collection data, export albums, import albums, generate reports, and many more.

The processor achieves its loudness through the use of a unique distortion masked final clipper (a distortion cancelled clipper). The sound quality and loudness is close to industry standard Optimods and Omnias.

Sonos 4 introduction

Sonos 4 is a software real time multiband compressor limiter for radio broadcasters. With this software and a suitable sound card it is possible to turn a Windows PC into an radio broadcast processor. The processor achieves its loudness through the use of a unique distortion masked final clipper.

Computer requirements

Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7.(Windows XP needs to be fully updated via Windows Update).
The CPU needs to be SSE/SSE2 capable. Most recent CPUs meet this requirement. To check for this capability download this program and run it. There are so many different CPUs the only way to check if yours is powerful enough is to download Sonos 4 and try it. As a guideline a dual core 2GHz CPU is recommended. The amount of memory is not critical.1-2GB is sufficient.
A 192kHz sample rate sound card is needed to use the built in stereo multiplex and RDS encoders. Use of a 'pro' sound card with balanced inputs and outputs is recommended  to minimize noise pick up. Some possible choices for a 192kHz sound card are the M-Audio Audiophile 192, ESI Juli@, EMU 0404 (PCI version).

If you need to interface Sonos 4 to other audio applications this can be achieved with Virtual Audio Cables.


General features

Sonos 4 interfaces to sound cards using either ASIO or the Windows native multimedia sound interface.If the ASIO interface is used then low latency mode can be used.Use of ASIO is dependent upon the sound card having ASIO drivers.Most 'Pro' sound cards support ASIO.Low latency mode enables off air monitoring while speaking just as hardware FM & AM processors do.

The application is password protected to prevent unauthorized tampering.

Sonos 4 can be automatically started when Windows boots.Additionally the application can be made to minimize to the 'Sys tray'.

Sonos 4 supports multiple instances.It is theoretically possible to have up to twenty processors but CPUs are not powerful enough yet to support all twenty processors.

The processors.

The processor is the central feature of Sonos 4. There are three different processors available mainly differing in the number of bands The nine band (MBL9) is the recommended choice but it may overload some computers so to reduce CPU load a processor with fewer bands can be selected. All four processors share common parts such as four stages of parametric equalization, stereo widener, stereo enhancer, phase rotator, filtering for FM and AM, switchable pre-emphasis for FM. The processor architecture is similar in each of the five processors. Dual band gated AGC is followed by a gated multiband limiter optionally preceded by a multiband compressor. Then optionally there is a dual band limiter.Single band gated limiting is applied before the final clipper. Pre-emphasis for FM is applied partially before the multiband section and partially after the final clipper. The processor settings are fully adjustable with easy to use saving and loading of preset files. There is a 'Daypart' scheduler to enable changes of preset (format) by time of day and day of the week. The processors have a 'Fail Over' or failsafe feature that switches the input to a backup should the main source fail. Finally the processor can be disabled to reduce CPU load.

The stereo multiplex, RDS encoders and SCA generator.

It is possible to drive FM transmitter MPX inputs directly from Sonos 4.It needs a 192kHz sound card with adequate bandwidth to pas the MPX signal. The stereo multiplex encoder has adjustable clipping for extra loudness. The pilot tone amplitude is adjustable. The RDS/RBDS encoder supports all the basic RDS features plus it has a scrolling 'Program Service Name' feature with multiple messages that can be set up as a rotation. In addition there is a means of showing current track information. The SCA generator supports frequencies from 20kHz to 90kHz and deviation from 1kHz to 10kHz.

The audio over IP function (STL).

The STL link uses Ogg/Vorbis encoding that achieves FM like quality at 64kBits/s. A normal ADSL broadband feed can be used to link to a remote site. The link can feed multiple sites limited only by the available bandwidth of the Internet connection.(The software has a limit of eight feeds).
The other use of the link is for outside broadcasts or feeds from remote studios. The link is low latency (adjustable)and bi-directional for such linking.
The STL uses a peer-to-peer method using UDP packets. There is a server-client method of establishing UDP peer-to-peer connections. This is an aid for sites that do not have a fixed IP address.
The STL link implements virtual RS232 Serial Data ports for remote control. The serial data link is bi-directional.

Internet streaming.

Sonos 4 has the ability to connect to Icecast & Shoutcast servers for Internet streaming. The software allows up to four connections. This enables the use of a low and a high bandwidth feeds.The supported encoding types are Ogg/Vorbis.,MP3 & AAC+. MP3 & AAC+ streaming need the Winamp plugins to be present. Additionally there is a means of displaying current track information.(This requires automation software to output the current track information to a file).

Logging recorder.

The software has a basic audio recorder that operates in three modes. The logging mode is an hour by hour recorder using Ogg/Vorbis encoding. There is a feature for retrieval by time and date of a log file. Additionally there are modes for continuous recording and timed recording.

Sound file player.

The player will play sound files (.wav,.ogg or mp3) without gaps. For broadcasters the main use will be as a backup source in the event of the main feed failing. The sound file player supports the use of a playlist that repeats in the event of a failure.(Win XP does not support playback of MP3 files).

Internet streaming player.

The player (Stream RX) supports the use of streaming as a method of linking. The software supports  multiple URLs with automatic reconnection should a stream fail. The player supports Ogg/Vorbis and MP3.(Win XP does not support playback of MP3 streams)

Other features.

There are other features that do not directly relate to broadcasting.

The sound input can decode MPX , RDS & SCA signals.

There is an 'Analyser' function for inspecting waveforms and spectra. There is a signal generator with features that are useful in analysis of audio software and hardware.

Duplicate & Same Files Searcher (Duplicate Searcher) is an application for searching duplicate files (clones) and NTFS hard links to the same file. It searches duplicate file contents regardless of file name (true byte-to-byte comparison is used). This application allows not only to delete duplicate files or to move them to another location, but to replace duplicates with NTFS hard links as well (unique!).
This application was developed because I haven’t find any similar application which allows to operate NTFS-links.
A NTFS hard link is the file system representation of a file by which more than one path can refer a single file in the same volume. NTFS hard links allow several files to share the same space on the disk (the same file). For example, several applications can use NTFS-links to the same version of the library instead using different copies of the library files. If several hard links point to the one file, deleting of any hard links doesn't cause deleting of the file and freeing disk space until the last hard link to the file will be deleted.

Duplicate & Same Files Searcher (Duplicate Searcher) - это приложение для поиска дубликатов (дублирующихся файлов) и жёстких ссылок NTFS на один и тот же файл на жёстких дисках. Duplicate & Same Files Searcher ищет дублирующиеся файлы, не обращая внимания на имя файла (используется сравнение байт в байт), а также ссылки NTFS на один и то же файл. Это приложение позволяет не только удалять дублирующиеся файлы или переносить их в другое месторасположение, как делают большинство других программ подобного рода, но также и заменять дубликаты файлов жёсткими ссылками NTFS на один и тот же файл на диске (уникально!).
Я разработал его, потому что я не смог найти какое-либо подобное приложение, способное таким же образом оперировать жёсткими ссылками NTFS.
Жёсткие ссылки NTFS  - это записи в файловой системе NTFS, посредством которых несколько путей к файлам могут ссылаться на один и тот же файл на диске. Жёсткие ссылки NTFS позволяют нескольким файлам использовать одно и то же пространство на диске (один и тот же файл). Например, несколько приложений могут использовать жёсткие ссылки к одной и той же версии библиотеки, вместо того чтобы использовать раздельные копии файлов библиотеки. Если несколько жёстких ссылок указывают на один файл, то удаление любой из этих ссылок не приведёт к удалению файла и освобождению места на диске, до тех пор пока последняя жёсткая ссылка к файлу не будет удалена.

Быстрый поисковый движок (используется алгоритм сравнения байт в байт, а также механизм определения жёстких ссылок).
Детальная визуализация и группировка дублирующихся файлов, а также жёстких и символьных ссылок NTFS (уникально!).

Kodi 16.1 – Jarvis – Mark XVI

Once a ‘final’ version is released some new bugs and/or problems usually appear out of nowhere, and this release is no exception. Even though tens of thousands of users were already testing the 16.0 version before release and we as team trying very hard to prevent any problems, as soon as millions start using the released version some problems we either did not think of or which we did not notice before pop up. To counter some of these new issues, we’re bringing you this maintenance release called 16.1 which has some additional fixes on top of the 16.0

It should be ok to just install this on top of your current Kodi 16.0 version without uninstalling previous version. For the MySQL users out there; we never bump the database versions in our bugfix or maintenance releases – you can safely keep using it within your network.
Fixes done in 16.1

    • Never cache addons directories
    • Fix typo when calculating forced ratio size
    • AndroidStorageProvider: Ignore /mnt/runtime and don’t call Exists all the way every some 500 ms as this will affect performance
    • Set of fixes for DirectX rendering
    • Fixed crash under JSON-RPC on iOS/OSX
    • 20% performance gain on opening EPG guide window
    • Add missing libgif.so to the Android package
    • Fix Kodi freezing if no ADSP add-on is present

Add-ons

General: So far in version 16 there are no add-on changes that would impact any add-ons except for PVR. Since our 12.x Frodo release there have been some gradual changes but in general all add-ons, even from that time should still work, of course there are some exceptions. If the add-ons worked in Gotham, Helix and Isengard then we are happy to say that all these add-ons should still work.

Skins: Sadly due to the amount of changes we’ll have to announce that skins will have certain parts non working. This release will mark any version 15 skin (or earlier) as incompatible and will ask you to switch back to Confluence. This means that for you to continue using Kodi 16.0 you will have to switch back to Confluence or wait till the skin you use has been updated in our repository. Good new however is that a variety of skin have already start updating to latest changes.
Available skins: The following skins are already updated for version 16 and will auto-update when you upgrade. We’re sure more will follow soon.
